Topic #4: Senses

If I had to lose one of my five senses, I would lose taste. Although I love eating, I choose taste because it seems to have nothing to do with relationships with people. If I lost sight, I would have to depend on just hearing. It is not enough to understand other's feeling. If I lost hearing, I would never be able to enjoy listening to music. If I lost touch, I would not feel the warmth of people. I think taste and smell are very similar. As I eat something when I have stuffy nose, I cannot taste. While there is smell, there is taste. I think smell is more important than taste, so I choose taste.

  1. I agree with you, I chose taste too. A little bit the same as your reasons, actually, the taste does not affect us as much as other ones.

  2. I think the taste influence us very much. You like relationship, and I heard that in many cultures they link the relationship through their stomach. Let's think if you have knowledge in restaurants or cuisines, you can introduce to your friends which dishes are good or bad, which dishes are bitter, hot, sweat, etc.. You will have a lot of friends in that certain culture, or you will tighten your relationship with your friends through that field.

Moreover, through many surveys, people feel happy when they eat delicious foods, and that is the reason why we have restaurants to bring happiness to others. A big source of happiness would fly away with your loss in taste. Your friends like your joyfulness, happiness, right?
